Summer Immersion Program

Monday-Thursday  —  9:30am-12:30pm  –  July 7-31, 2008

@ Anishinabe Academy, 1515 E. Lake St., Mpls 55407

Cost: FREE!

Children spend Mondays & Tuesdays doing fun activities in the classrooms and outdoors. Each Wednesday the classes take a field trip, and on Thursdays the children have a mini-powwow. All activities are conducted in either the Dakota or Ojibwe language; our #1 rule is “No English!”

This program is offered at no cost. Lunch and snack are provided. Unfortunately, no transportation is available, so children must be dropped off and picked up.

Space is still available!
To sign up or for more information, please contact Betty Jane or Margaret at the Wicoie Nandagikendan Immersion Project, (612)721-4246, or email allecp@aol.com.

Note: This program is intended for children who are or have previously been students in our immersion program, or who have a basic understanding of Dakota or Ojibwe. Parents must agree to be involved in learning Dakota or Ojibwe.
