Now that the Wacipi is over. On to my book, once I’m feeling better.
It is dedicated to my sister Beverly Scott. I have been wanting to finish this book for a long time. Just too busy with the Wacipi and my work for Mendota, all volunteer work, at least 50 hours a week. I have about 1/3 done. It is about my feelings of loss, not growing up native , how that was taken from me. How that affected my whole life.
My responsibility as Tribal Chairwoman has been the ups and downs for 17 years, the Wacipi. My relationship with my creator, family and community. My genealogy, my ancestry to many chiefs, my connection to Mendota’s sacred land, etc. Hope to have the book out by the holidays. Donations appreciated for help with some cost.
You will get a free book for your donation. Please write book on your check.
