Mendota Mdewakanton Dakota Tribal Community 26th Anniversary and Fundraiser June 4th.

PLEASE SHARE OUR FUNDRAISER & ANNIVERSARY FLYER. PIDAMAYA!  26th Anniversary and Fundraiser 2022

Mendota has been a 501C3 since 1997. “Preserving, Protecting and Promoting the Dakota Culture for Future Generations” Please send your donations to MMDTC 1350 Sibley Memorial Hwy Mendota, MN 55150. You can also send donations to MMDTC % Tribal Chairwomen Sharon Lennartson 945 Redwood Dr Apple Valley MN 55124. PLEASE NO CASH.

We are accepting all donations, if they are anonymous donations, small or corporation donations, every donation helps.

Your donations will be greatly appreciated. It will be so nice to have a place of our own. No more getting permission to go to church (Inipi )and have meetings.  We can meet when we want day or night, weekends.

We are accepting any donations, anonymous donations, small or corporation donations.

We get no help from the more profitable tribes ever, in almost 30 years. Our own brothers and sisters. No help from the Goverment.

How would you like to have ask permission to go to your church? Or dig up your relatives, your love ones from their resting place. How would you like if they dug up your relatives for a building.

Why does this keep happing to Native Americans my people WHY. With no respect for their resting place. Where do your love ones go after being dug up? This does not happen in a white cemetery. No disrespect intended.

Why do have have to prove who we are constantly? Land and Federal Recognition should have been giving to us back when other tribes were recognized.

Mendota had no one to speak on their behalf. Now we will fight until we get recognized, that is rightly our rights.

Please come join us on this very special day!! Mendota Community 26th Anniversary and Fundraiser June 4th, 2022 12-4 potluck! Mendota will provide food also.  Donations of water and pop would be nice. Volunteers needed please call 952-239-9969 in help with setup and clean up. Please email Sharon at mendotadakota@gmail.com asap if you can help.

With people telling us when we can go to our native church an INIPI. We have nowhere to have our meetings. Unless we get permission from the DuPuis House. The DuPusi House is our ancestral home of Angelique DuPuis Renville & Hipolite. We meet at the Historial St Peters Church or even at the Mendota VFW all in Mendota MN.

Mendota does appreciate all of these places helping us all these years.

We need our own center for our Native American members and honorary members. We will have language, culture, history Crafting classes. Where everyone can come by and visit us have coffee, maybe share a lunch with us. Just come and visit  I will listen to what you have to say. Elders and others can come and tell there stories. I don’t get paid so I can set and talk all day if I want. No one on the on the council gets paid all volunteer work. Joe does get paid a very small amount.

Mendota needs about $500,000 to buy a building or house for our center in a industrial or commercial area. That’s what houses go for in the Mendota, Mendota Heights, and Eagan area. We want to stay close to our sacred land.

Everything is so expensive these days especially for a small tribe like ours.

We do not affiliated to any other tribes in MN. How very sad we can not get help from our brothers and sister!

Thank you for coming to our website. Brad works very hard to keep it up. Thank You Brad!!
