The Gaup’s are wonderful people. We meet Ante Mikkel Gaup the papa, Lena Susanne, Lars Ailu, and Sara Marielle, his adult children. They yoiked for us, that was beautiful. Ante and Lars showed us they put up there lavvu, it is like our Teepees. They made handicrafts made out of reindeer bone, antler, leather, and other things found in the arctic nature.
A week later we had a Inipi with Ante, and a few Saami that live in the area. The Inipi was so beautiful, there were 3 languages. Dakota, Sami, Mexica, but we all felt like ONE. We had a feast, talked, and we all left around .
