It makes my heart sore like an eagle to see the 3 grand entries. Not always easy with being so busy.
To all our guests for taking their time to come to our 27th Wacipi – Pow Wow. We love you all!
What an honor to have you all come to celebrate with us each year.
To see the tiny tots dancing, so proud, the elders with so much elegance, the men dancing so hard their spirit shine. The woman with so much dignity dancing with so much grace. The teens with so much love for their culture.
I have been saying for the last 10 years. I need to give up on the Wacipi leadership. I cannot stop. I need to greet as many as I can.
That would be like giving up on my people, friends, and neighbors. I could not do that. Until I physically cannot. Steve & Tommy will be my assistants.
So proud of our wonderful Wacipi committee, security, volunteers all dedicated to having a successful Wacipi. Too many to mention, I do not want to leave anyone out.
So happy to see all the volunteers in the kitchen working so hard.
I want to say pidamayaye the tribal council for honoring me this year. Especially Danielle & Sarah for all the wonderful pictures. For my complete devotion and dedication, you need a lot of endurance & LOYALTY.
We will honor someone each year like we did for me. Someone who has been around for many years.
