Title: MMDTC History Display & In-Yan-Sa

Title: MMDTC History Display & In-Yan-Sa
We are having a Open House at the Newport United Methodist Church in Newport to exhibit our Mendota and Kaposia history.
As part of the Open House we are also going to discuss and take questions in regards to the repatriation and stewardship of In-Yan-Sa  “Red Rock” back to our Mendota Kaposia Community.
The 18 panel display walks you through time of our Dakota history in this area. From Kaposia to current time Mendota. The display shows the hardships we as Dakota faced and the challenges we still face today as a community.
It is a great learning opportunity for children and grandchildren to see our true history.
Date: Sunday Nov. 19th 10:45am – 1:30pm.
Newport United Methodist Church,
1596 – 11th ave, Newport, MN 55055
