Runaway Ray is a book written by one of our members, Lorena Weaver. She wrote this book about her father who married Delores LeClaire. In 2009 Lorena and her siblings were connected to two other families Ray had. Both of these families lived in the Los Angeles area and did not know about each other. He left both families abruptly. Delores and Ray lived in Mendota and for a few years in Mendota Heights. Ray bartended at the Mendota Tavern owned by his father-in-law, John (Knute) LeClaire.

There will also be a book signing on April 22, 2018 at Lucky’s 13 in Mendota from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Books will be for sale at this event.
