Iner A. Borchardt Jeppesen

Obituary for Iner A. Borchardt Jeppesen

Iner August Borchardt Jeppesen, Menomonie, WI, passed away on July 28, 2016 during a seizure. He was 26 years old.

Iner was born on October 2, 1989 in St. Croix Falls, WI to parents, Joy R. Borchardt and Mark E. Jeppesen. His life adventure then began by first living in Bena, MN; then in Aitkin, MN where he attended elementary school; Luck, WI where he graduated from Luck High School in 2008; and then off to college at UW Stout in Menomonie, WI for Food Management. Iner was interested in becoming a Master Brewer.

When Iner was 15 years old he started having seizures and was diagnosed with Epilepsy. This began a challenging journey which he eventually took in stride without diminishing his innate good hearted and cheerful nature. For a few years Iner had the opportunity to attend Camp Oz – a camp for kids and teenagers with Epilepsy, where he made many friends with other campers and staff alike. After exceeding the age limit to attend Camp Oz, Iner looked forward to returning as a volunteer which he did for several years including this last June, 2016.

Although Iner was never able to drive, he enjoyed traveling and road trips. In 2011 he surprised his Mom by asking her to take a trip to Iceland with him which they did and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Reykjavik, the West Fjords and the Snaefellsnes peninsula together. This July he was able to travel to Sweden with his friend, Derek Schindhelm. Other travels with his Mom included trips to South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Iowa, Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Florida, Northern Wisconsin and Northern Minnesota, as well as a solo trip to Florida to visit his grandparents there. This summer Iner was looking forward to going to Isle and Grand Marais, MN.

When he wasn’t on a road trip, Iner enjoyed spending time with friends, computer games, watching movies, listening to music, attending the Renaissance Festival and Comic Con in his Roman armor, and in general, learning interesting facts about a variety of random topics and sharing this information. Iner had Highland Title cards certifying that Lord Iner Borchardt Jeppesen had earned the title of Lord of Glencoe and Lochaber as well as Credentials of Ministry from the Universal Life Church Monastery. Iner also had a star named after him.

Iner was a unique individual who touched the hearts of many. He was preceded in death by his uncles, Mark Borchardt, Brent Jeppesen, and Robert Johnson; great-grandparents, Elsie H. and Lester F. Borchardt Sr.; grandparents, Bette and Robert Jeppesen; step-dad, Jeffrey T. Timmons; and his beloved dog, Mathayus.

Iner leaves behind many family members that will dearly miss him including his mother, Joy R. Borchardt (Luck, WI); father, Mark E. Jeppesen (Isle, MN); grandparents, Mary Borchardt (Northfield, MN), Lester (Jean) Borchardt Jr. (Vero Beach, FL); aunts and uncles, Gay Johnson (Farmington, MN), Erich (Shannon) Borchardt (Stillwater, MN), Scott (Margie) Jeppesen (VA), Todd (Beth) Jeppesen (Cannon Falls, MN), Suzan Hegland (Farmington, MN), Roger Jeppesen (Empire, MN), Peggy (Chuck) Lane (Rosemount, MN), Julie Richardson (Farmington, MN), Troy Jeppesen (Lakeville, MN); half-sister, Jacqueline Jeppesen (Minnetonka, MN); as well as many cousins, his Beloved dog – Sampson, friends, and neighbors.

Memorial services for Iner will be held Friday, Aug 5, 2016 at West Denmark Lutheran Church, 2478 170th Street, Luck, WI, with a gathering at 10:00 a.m., memorial service at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon at the parish hall. Rev. Linda Rozumalski will be officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brent Moore, Farrah Welch, Brian Benson, Mariah Grabenbauer, Samantha Jablonski, Derek Schindhelm, Russ Hall, Nick Relich, Mark, Lori, Jacob and Randy Bruner, Danielle Jeppesen, Jake Jeppesen, and Leah Jeppesen.
